Honey Brook Community Church was organized in 1999 in the small town of Honey Brook, Pennsylvania. The 66 charter members had a vision to bring the love of Jesus particularly to the young people in the community. Local ministry has included summer Bible School, kids clubs, and summer camps.
The goal of being a positive influence in the community motivated HBCC to adopt the identification as a community church. When the church was established, three Elders were elected from the charter members. The church functioned for six months before ordaining a pastor from the congregation. Within a few months, an Extended Leadership team was developed to include Deacons, a Mission Board, Sunday School Superintendents and a Youth Leader. A biweekly small group ministry was also established to provide personal care and spiritual connection for all church members.
We currently meet in the Honey Brook Elementary Center on Walnut Street beginning at 9:30 each Sunday morning. Our average attendance is approximately 200. We have many young children and a very active youth group. Our worship service includes praise and worship, prayer, teaching and fellowship.
In 2012 the church was able to purchase the former elementary school on Main Street. Plans are to build a place of worship and ministry on this property.
